Getting started

From your first login through company setup to your first question in the chat.

Welcome to Kasimir, the GDPR-compliant AI platform for German companies. This guide walks you from your very first access through to your first question in the chat – whether you are creating a brand-new company account or have been invited into an existing team by a colleague. Allow a few minutes for the full setup.

Getting access

Kasimir is currently in a closed beta phase. There are two ways to get access:

  • You get invited. An administrator at your company invites you by email. You receive an invitation email with a link – this is the fastest route.

  • You apply to join. Via Apply for beta (page /register) you fill in the Name, Email, Company and Use case form. After the security check you submit the application; the team reaches out for matching use cases.

ℹ️

Self sign-up does not create an immediately usable account – it creates an application. If your company already uses Kasimir, ask for an invitation directly; it is much faster.

Signing in

Once you have access, sign in at /login. Kasimir offers several sign-in methods that you can freely combine:

For password or magic-link sign-in there is a toggle at the top between Password and Magic link. In both cases you first complete the short security check (the "I'm not a robot" confirmation) and then click Sign in.

💡

You don't need to remember a magic link: instead of a password you receive an email with a one-time sign-in link. Handy if you'd rather not memorise another password.

Forgot your password

If you've forgotten your password, use Reset password. Enter your email address – you'll receive a reset link that lets you choose a new password under Set a new password.

All Kasimir emails (invitation, account confirmation, magic link, password reset) lead to a shared confirmation page. It automatically detects which case applies and routes you accordingly:

  • Password reset → you set a new password right away.

  • All other cases → you are taken straight into the app: to the Dashboard if you already belong to a company, otherwise into setup.

Setting up your company (onboarding)

On your first login Kasimir decides which path fits you.

Path A: You were invited

If there is an open invitation for your email address, you'll see Invitation to {company name}. Just enter your First name (required) and optionally your Last name, then click Accept invitation. You land directly on the Dashboard – your account is ready to use immediately.

ℹ️

If your email domain already belongs to a registered company but you don't have a personal invitation, Kasimir tells you so: in that case ask your administrator to invite you into the existing team.

Path B: You set up a new company

If you are the first person from your company, a wizard guides you through setup in five steps. Progress is shown as a stepper at the top.

  1. Your nameFirst name (required) and optionally Last name.

  2. Company – the Company name (e.g. "Müller GmbH").

  3. Size – number of employees (1–10, 11–50, 51–200, 201–1,000, Over 1,000) and the Industry.

  4. Use case – optional: pick a template such as Make internal knowledge accessible, Speed up customer communication, Automate routine tasks or Research and analysis – or describe your use case in your own words.

  5. Team – optional: invite colleagues right away by email and assign the Administrator or Member role.

Use Next to advance, Back to step back. You can skip the team step via Invite later. Clicking Finish creates your company and takes you to the Dashboard.

💡

Steps 3 to 5 are optional. You can add size, industry, use case and team invitations later in settings at any time – only your first name and the company name are required.

Your first question in the chat

After setup, the Chat is your main starting point. Open it from the sidebar or via New chat. You're greeted by your first name: "Hi {name} — how can I help?".

To ask your first question:

  1. Pick a model. Use the Model selector in the input field to choose the AI model. An EU badge marks models processed on Kasimir's own servers or within the EU – the privacy-friendly default choice.

  2. Type your question. Write your question in the Write a message… field. You can also click one of the Examples cards (e.g. "Summarise the key points from this text…") to insert the text.

  3. Send. Click Send (or press Enter). The answer appears right below; use Stop to cancel a running response.

Features around the input field

  • Tools – activates tools for this chat, such as Company knowledge (answers from your documents), Integrations (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace) or Data analysis.

  • + (attach file) – adds a file: via Upload, from the current chat, from a project, or directly from Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.

  • @ – mentions an assistant, which then answers this specific message.

  • Microphone – dictate your question by voice instead of typing.

⚠️

Watch the model label: if you pick a model marked Non-EU, the data leaves the EU. These models are only available if your company has explicitly enabled them – when in doubt, stay with the EU default model.

The sidebar gives you access to the other areas of the platform:

  • Agents – persistent assistants with their own knowledge for recurring tasks.

  • Workflows – form-based, multi-step automations.

  • Files – your document library as a knowledge base for the chat.

  • Meetings – recording, transcription and AI summaries of meetings.

  • Translator, Prompt library, Skills and Scheduled for recurring tasks.

  • Integrations – connect Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
