Account & Profile
Manage your avatar, name, appearance, language, custom instructions, memory, shared chats, notifications and security in Kasimir's personal account area.
The Account area bundles all personal settings that concern only you and your user account — separate from the company-wide settings under Administration. You reach it through the profile menu at the bottom of the sidebar (the Profile entry) or directly at /settings. The area has its own navigation panel with seven sub-pages: Profile, Preferences, Custom instructions, Memory, Shared chats, Notifications and Security.
Account vs. company
Everything in this area applies only to your personal account. Company data, members, billing and company-wide chat defaults live in the Administration area instead.
Profile
On the Profile page (/settings/profile) you maintain your avatar and your displayed name.
Avatar
At the top left you see your current avatar (or your initials if none is set). A short hint underneath tells you where the picture comes from:
Uploaded profile picture— you uploaded a picture yourself.Profile picture from your Google account— the picture comes from your linked Google account.Your Google account currently provides no profile picture — initials are shown.Initials are shown — upload a picture or link a Google account.
To upload a picture:
Click
Upload picture.Choose a file in PNG, JPEG or WebP format.
The picture is saved immediately and applied everywhere in the app.
A self-uploaded picture always takes precedence over the Google picture. Use Remove (shown only when you have your own picture) to delete your uploaded picture — the display then falls back automatically to the Google picture or your initials.
Format and size limit Only PNG, JPEG and WebP are allowed, up to a maximum of 2 MB. SVG files are not permitted for security reasons. Larger or other files are rejected.
Name and email
Field | Editable | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Yes (required, max. 60 chars) | Used for the displayed name |
| Yes (optional, max. 60 chars) | Appended to the first name |
| No | Locked |
Edit the first and/or last name and click Save. The button is only active when you have actually changed something; after a successful save a brief Saved appears.
The email field is intentionally locked: changing your email requires re-verification. Contact support to do so.
Preferences (appearance & language)
On the Preferences page (/settings/preferences) you control the appearance and language of the interface.
Appearance
Choose between three options:
System— follows your operating system setting (light/dark).LightDark
The choice takes effect immediately and is saved to your account. (You can also toggle the appearance at any time via the sun/moon icon in the header.)
Language
Choose the interface language: Deutsch or English. The change takes effect immediately and is tied to your account, so it persists across logins. A brief Saved confirms the change.
German is the default language. You can also reach the English interface directly via the EN prefix in the address bar.
Custom instructions
On the Custom instructions page (/settings/custom-instructions) you store persistent guidance for how the AI should respond. These instructions are applied in every chat.
Enter your text in the input field (max. 2000 characters; the counter shows usage), for example: "Always reply in German, be concise and give concrete examples."
Use the Custom instructions active switch to turn the behaviour on or off without deleting your text. Click Save to apply changes.
What are custom instructions for?
Use them for stable preferences — tone, response length, preferred language, formatting wishes. For factual knowledge about you (e.g. your role or department), Memory is the better fit.
Memory
On the Memory page (/settings/memory) you store individual facts about yourself that the AI should take into account in every chat — such as your role, your field of expertise or response preferences.
Use the
Memory activeswitch to turn the entire memory on or off.Enter an item in the text field (max. 500 characters) and click
Add. New items appear at the top of the list.Use the trash icon next to an item to delete it individually.
A maximum of 50 items is allowed; beyond that the hint
Maximum of 50 items reached.appears and the input field is disabled.
Example: "I work in sales and prefer short, factual answers."
Shared chats
On the Shared chats page (/settings/shared-chats) you manage all public, read-only links you have created to your chats. Each entry shows the chat title and the creation date.
Copy link— copies the public address of the shared chat to the clipboard (briefly confirmed withCopied).Trash icon (
Revoke) — invalidates the link. The shared page is then no longer reachable.
A shared link is public: anyone with the link can read the chat read-only — without logging in. Revoke links as soon as they are no longer needed.
Notifications
On the Notifications page (/settings/notifications) you enable Push notifications for the current device. This lets you receive alerts about new messages and announcements even when Kasimir is not open.
Flip the switch to subscribe to push on this device. Depending on browser/device, hints appear:
Enabled on this device.— push is active.Notifications are blocked in your browser.— allow them in your browser settings first. This browser does not support push notifications. On iPhone you must first add Kasimir to your home screen via "Add to Home Screen" before push is possible.
Push applies per device. To be notified on multiple devices, enable the switch separately on each one.
Security
On the Security page (/settings/security) you manage your password, linked sign-in methods and signing out.

If the entries don't match or the password is too short, a corresponding hint appears. On success, Saved confirms.
