Workspace & Navigation
Layout and use of the Kasimir workspace: sidebar, logo menu, global search and mobile navigation.
The entire signed-in area of Kasimir is built around a single, always-visible sidebar on the left edge. It is the central control panel: from here you reach every feature, start new chats, search your content and open your account menu. Unlike many applications, the desktop view deliberately has no additional top bar – the sidebar is the only fixed navigation surface, which keeps the screen free for your actual work.
The sidebar at a glance
From top to bottom, the sidebar is organised into four areas:
Header with the logo/account menu and the collapse/expand button
New chatfor instantly starting a new conversationMain navigation with every platform feature (
Search, Agents, Workflows, Files, etc.)Collapsible lists for
Projects,Pinnedand yourChats
On desktop the sidebar is shown permanently. On mobile it is hidden at first and revealed via the menu icon at the top left (see "Mobile navigation").
Collapsing and expanding the sidebar
The double-arrow button at the top right of the header toggles between full width and a narrow icon-only rail. When collapsed, every navigation item stays reachable as an icon; its name appears as a tooltip on hover. The labels read Collapse sidebar and Expand sidebar. Your choice is saved and restored on your next visit.
Collapse the sidebar when you need maximum width for long documents, tables or the workflow view. Every feature stays reachable via its icon.
The logo and account menu
Clicking the logo (or the Kasimir wordmark) at the top left opens the account menu. It contains everything related to your profile and personal settings, replacing the otherwise common top bar. At the very top you see your name and your company's name.
Entry | Function |
|---|---|
Personal settings at
Support area with tickets and help
Admins only: company administration (members, settings)
Kasimir staff only: platform-wide administration (marked
Switch the appearance
Toggle between
Log out of Kasimir
Which entries appear depends on your role. Workspace admin is visible only to owners and admins; Administration is reserved for Kasimir staff. Appearance (light/dark) and language do not close the menu – you can try both right away.
If your company sets its own logo (white-label), it replaces the Kasimir wordmark in the header.
Main navigation
Directly below the New chat button comes the flat list of all feature areas. Each entry has an icon and a label; the currently open area is highlighted.
Entry | Purpose |
|---|---|
Opens global search (shortcut
Library of assistants (persistent AI personas)
Form-based, multi-step automations
Saved and shared prompt templates
Reusable capabilities for agents
Document and text translation

Recording, transcription and summarising of meetings
Connect Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and more
Recurring, scheduled tasks
Notifications; a blue count badge shows unread items
Changelog of product updates; a dot marks unseen entries
Next to Inbox and What's new a small badge appears as soon as there are unread notifications or new changelog entries. When the sidebar is collapsed this becomes a small blue dot on the icon.
Projects, Pinned and Chats
The lower, scrollable part of the sidebar holds three collapsible sections. Each heading can be opened and closed with a click; the state is preserved across sessions.
Projects
Here you find your shared workspaces. The + icon next to the heading creates a new project. Each project can be expanded to show its chats; + New chat in project starts a conversation directly in the project context. A project's context menu (visible only to its creator) lets you rename or delete it.
Pinned
This section appears only when you have pinned something. It gathers pinned chats, agents and workflows for quick access – regardless of their age.
Chats
Your private (non-project) conversations, grouped by Today, Last 7 days and Older. Use + Load more to reveal older chats. Each chat entry offers a context menu with the following actions:
Rename– edit the title inline in the listPin/Unpin– move into or out of thePinnedsectionMove to project/Remove from project– assign a chat to a projectShare– create a read-only link to a snapshotDelete– remove the conversation
Chats can also be dragged directly into a project (or back into the private list). Requirement: you own the chat, or you created the target project.
Global search (⌘K)
Global search is the fastest way to find content. It opens via the Search entry in the navigation or with the shortcut ⌘K (Mac) or Ctrl K (Windows/Linux) – from any page.
Type at least two characters and results appear grouped by type: Chats, Agents, Workflows, Prompts, Files and Skills. Use the arrow keys ↑ / ↓ to move through the hits and Enter to open the selected entry. Clicking a result closes the dialog and jumps straight to the target.
Just remember ⌘K – it brings up search instantly from any chat, list or detail view, without touching the mouse.
Mobile navigation
On small screens the sidebar is collapsed into a space-saving drawer. Instead, a slim bar appears at the top with three elements:
the menu icon (☰) on the left, which reveals the sidebar as an overlay
the current page title in the centre
a magnifier on the right, which opens global search directly
The revealed sidebar contains the same content as on desktop and closes automatically as soon as you navigate to a page or tap beside the overlay. As an installed app (PWA), the interface additionally respects your device's notch and status bar.
Appearance (light/dark), language and your account menu are reachable on every device via the logo menu at the top of the sidebar – there is no separate settings button for these.
