Chat Settings & Branding
Define the default chat behaviour as well as the logo and accent color for your entire company.
As an owner or administrator, the Administration area lets you decide how chat behaves by default for everyone in your company, and how Kasimir appears in your colors and with your logo. Both areas are company-wide: whatever you set here becomes the default for every team member. You'll find them in the sidebar under Administration as the Chat settings and Branding entries.
Owners and admins only
Both pages are accessible only to members with the Owner or Admin role. Regular members don't see the administration area, and any save attempt without permission is rejected on the server.
Chat settings
The Administration → Chat settings page controls the default chat behaviour for everyone in your company. These are defaults — individual users can still adjust many of them during a chat.
Default model
The Default model dropdown sets which language model is pre-selected in new chats. The list contains every model enabled for your company.
Choosing
(no default — users pick themselves)means Kasimir makes no pre-selection, and members start with their most recently used or the first available model.A configured default model is only pre-selected — users can switch to a different model at any time during a chat.
The same default model is also used for automatic operations, such as compacting long conversation histories.
Which models appear here
Which models appear in this list at all is controlled on the Administration → AI models page. There you can disable individual models so they appear neither as the default nor in the chat model picker.
Web search enabled by default
The Web search enabled by default option sets the initial state of the web-search toggle in the chat composer. When on, every new chat starts with web search enabled; when off, users must enable web search themselves per chat. The default is on.
Allow file uploads
Allow file uploads controls whether members may attach and upload documents in chat. When the option is off, no files can be uploaded. The default is on.
Allow non-EU models
Allow non-EU models unlocks stronger models hosted outside the EU (e.g. Grok/xAI in the US or DeepSeek in China).
Privacy-sensitive setting When this option is on, chat data leaves the EU — operation is then no longer GDPR-sovereign. For that reason the setting is off by default. Enable it only deliberately and with your data-protection requirements in mind. While it is off, non-EU models are neither shown in the model picker nor accepted by the chat backend.
System prompt addendum
The System prompt addendum field lets you store instructions that are applied in addition to the default system prompt in every chat — for example a desired tone, a glossary, or privacy hints. The field holds up to 4,000 characters.

Click Save to apply all changes; a short Saved confirmation appears.
Branding
The Administration → Branding page makes Kasimir your platform: set your company's accent color and logo.
Accent color
The Accent color section defines the primary color used on buttons and links. There are two synchronized ways to enter it:
the graphical color picker (swatch), and
a text field for the hex value in
#RRGGBBformat (e.g.#FC5130).
From your chosen color, Kasimir automatically generates a full shade ramp (light to dark) and applies it across the entire interface — including dark mode. Use default clears the color again; with no color set, Kasimir's default orange applies.
Valid hex values only
The text field accepts only six-digit hex colors with a leading #. An incomplete or invalid entry is not saved.
Logo
The Logo section is where you upload the company logo shown at the top of the sidebar header.
Allowed formats: PNG, JPG, SVG and WEBP.
Maximum file size: 2 MB. Larger files are rejected with the message
File is larger than 2 MB.Use
Upload logoto choose the file; a preview appears immediately in the frame beside it.Removedeletes the currently stored logo (the display then falls back tono logo).
Storage location The logo is stored in your company's document storage under your company-specific path. It is part of your tenant data and visible only to your company.
Here too: changes to color or logo are applied only after you click Save.
FAQ
Do the settings apply to everyone immediately? Yes. These are company-wide defaults. Chat-related defaults take effect when new chats start; branding is applied the next time the interface loads.
Can members override the defaults? For model choice and web search, yes — those are only pre-selections. File uploads and the non-EU model allowance, however, are binding, company-wide switches.
I can't see Administration. Then you lack the
OwnerorAdminrole. Contact whoever manages your company in Kasimir.
